[OOM] Eiattu - Royal Chambers

It takes Plourr several minutes to figure out why her dream is beeping, but eventually, she reaches out and shoves her hand through the bedcurtains, swiping blindly along the table beside her bed. She hits something (to be fair, she hits several somethings, and one or two of them go clattering to the floor). A quiet voice comes. She leans out of the curtains and holds a murmured, mostly-asleep conversation over the comm unit, holding the sheets over her chest. When she ducks back into the warmth of the bed, she rolls back over and-- finds herself face-to-face with Rial. He's sleeping, eyes closed and hair tied back, breathing evenly, and Plourr wonders, watching him, why she had never realized how handsome he is.





The princess grins sleepily and lazily tangles herself up in him.

He's watching her as well, through half-lidded eyes.

"Yes?"

[fighting_mad]

"You know that I only want you, right?" she says softly. "Because I do. I can't believe you waited so long for me to admit it."

He doesn't quite laugh, just smiles helplessly.

"I let you move at your own pace. Can't say it was easy."

[fighting_mad]

"I'm sorry."

It isn't said lightly. An apology from Plourr is very, very rare.

"You didn't do anything wrong."

He brings one large hand up to cup her face.

"Nothing."

[fighting_mad]

"I took you for granted. I hurt you; I know I did." A very faint laugh. "I don't know why you love me." Her eyes don't rise from the mattress, because she really doesn't.

[eiattu_pride]

"Plourr, that's not right."

He tilts her head up until he can look her in the eyes.

"I love you, and nothing you've ever done is going to change that. And you didn't hurt me, so that doesn't matter."

[fighting_mad]

She nods quietly, eyes on him.

[eiattu_pride]

He brushes his thumb across her lips.

"I promise."

[fighting_mad]

She looks at him another moment, and then she nods slowly. She leans forward and lightly presses her lips against his, with a hazy sweetness that is reserved for just Rial.

He deepens the kiss for a moment, then makes a soft noise in the back of his throat and pulls away. He's grinning quietly, "You have morning breath."

[fighting_mad]

"I do not."

[eiattu_pride]

"Do so."

Mmm-hmm.

[fighting_mad]

He doesn't get a reprieve this time; she sits up, letting the blankets fall to her waist, and she smacks him.

>:O!!!!!!

"...ow."

[fighting_mad]

"Deserved it," she says, but she stretches out and kisses his injured bicep anyway.

[eiattu_pride]

He grins.

"Maybe, maybe not."

And then he's kissing her again, hard and hungry, because sure last night was good, but why not do it all over again?

Good? Just good? Plourr's still a little sore from all the good, but hell, not like that's ever stopped her. She leans up, returns the kiss, applies the proper pressure with her hands and her shoulders and-- is very shortly sprawled on top of him. They're a tangle of limbs and sheets that will take ages to unwind, and

she abruptly stops kissing him.

"Question," Plourr says as if she weren't very naked and pinning Rial, rubbing her upper lip with her forearm. "How attached are you to this?" She tugs lightly at his mustache with a thumb and forefinger.

Dammit, Plourr! Way to spoil the moment.

"Um - why?"

[fighting_mad]

Four words: you have morning breath.

"Have you ever kissed someone with a mustache?"

[eiattu_pride]

"No?"

He sighs.

"My dad'll kill me if it comes off."

[fighting_mad]

"You're 30 years old, Rial," she says, resting her elbows on his chest and her chin in her palms. "I think you can decide what to do with your own facial hair."

"My dad is scary."

And he eyes her.

"So if I said that I was going to keep it...?"

[fighting_mad]

"Honestly, Rial, it scratches like crazy." It does.



She tries a different tack, still sprawled half on top of him in the huge bed. She traces nonsensical patterns on his chest with her fingers. "I think you would look very handsome without it," she wheedles. There's a more genuine smile down at him. "Though you're very handsome now, too."

"But I like it."

Fear the puppy-dog eyes, Plourr!
