[OOM] Eiattu - Private Office

Diplomatic receptions are highly necessary, especially for Eiattu. The planet spent years under the yoke of Imperial control, and now its neighbors are cautiously testing the mettle of its new princess and her husband. Plourr knows this.

Of course, the necessity doesn't stop them from being unbelievably dull.

You'd think an event that lasted this far into the night would at least be interesting. Sadly, however, it was not, and Plourr is now sitting in a (to be specific, Rial's) ground-floor private office, still in full royal regalia with her shoes kicked off. She has her bare feet up on the desk and a much-needed bottle of lum in hand.

"Well, possibly."

She groans and gets up, picking up her shoes and the two bottles of lum. "Rial. You know I'm as much of a workaholic as the next girl," probably more of one, "but even I know that sleep is necessary once in a while." She nods toward the door. "Come on. You can escort me upstairs."

"And how do I say no to an offer like that?"

Gets up, cracking his neck.

[fighting_mad]

"The amount of polite was staggering, I know," she says. She crosses the room and hits the keypad with her elbow to open the door.

She looks both ways, up and down the hall. "You haven't seen Frei and Unger, have you? I gave them the slip a while ago."

"Can't say I have."

Looks thoughtful.

[fighting_mad]

She rolls her eyes, padding out into the hall. "I feel like I really shouldn't have to go searching for my own bodyguards."

[eiattu_pride]

"They'll be around somewhere."

Following, wandering along a few steps behind her.

"What time did you say it was?"

[fighting_mad]

"0330," she says, slowing down to give him the chance to catch up.

[eiattu_pride]

"Might sleep a bit."

One hand briefly touches her shoulder, "You should too."

[fighting_mad]

She doesn't shrug him away. "Maybe."

[eiattu_pride]

"Just an hour or so?"

Coaxing.

[fighting_mad]

She snorts, amused. "I'm not a child, Rial."

[eiattu_pride]

"Could have fooled me."

Lazily.

[fighting_mad]

She swats at him. "Shut up."

[eiattu_pride]

"You wound me."

With a straight face.

[fighting_mad]

"If I wounded you half as often as you say I do, you'd be a dead man."

[eiattu_pride]

Shifty.

"Perhaps I am a spirit."

[fighting_mad]

"Uh huh."

[eiattu_pride]

"It's possible."

[fighting_mad]

She snorts again, making her way up the stairs. "What kind of spirit?"

[eiattu_pride]

"An angry one."

Cheerfully.

[fighting_mad]

"An angry one," she says thoughtfully, feet making no sound on the cold floor. "Angry about what?"

[eiattu_pride]

"Probably you killing me."

Well, it makes sense.

[fighting_mad]

Blank look over at him. "I've completely lost track of what we were talking about. It must have been interesting, though, if I killed you."

[eiattu_pride]

"You said that if you wounded me as much as I said, I would be dead. I said that maybe I was a spirit. You asked me what kind. I said angry. You asked why. I said angry because you killed me."

Beams.

"It's this handy thing called 'memory'. Helps a lot when you're dealing with people."
